Omnicom Engineering Limited (OEL) continues to undertake video surveys, on behalf of Network Rail's Signalling and Telecommunications Programme Engineering team, to capture accurate, geospatially positioned High Definition (HD) video imagery.
Recent surveys include:- - Norwich to Ely
- Crewe to Shrewsbury
- East Anglia
- Poole to Wool
- East Lancashire
- Glasgow - Gourock
- Glasgow South Suburban Routes
From this HD video imagery, OEL provide signalling engineers with asset/infrastructure locations that are incorporated into Network Rail's Intelligent Scheme Planning (ISP) software, which enables the generation of "as-is" signalling scheme plans.
The new survey data will be uploaded to Network Rail's National Video Server in the coming weeks and is available to the wider industry.
